Here the information about Newb Quest Guide
by Damned
I have seen many new players come on here and ask where to find "Chronicler of the Underworld" or "Puffer" in a quest. I too had trouble finding them when I started and didn't quite understand the challenges of quest, so I figured I would post this, so new players can just look here and find the answer to their questions.
Most of you if you are reading this will have already accepted a quest. However for those of you who may have never tried a quest before, you must go to the Tavern to Accept a Quest. You must have more than 25 Health to Accept A Quest and you cannot accept a quest if you are doing manhunts. At the Tavern you are offered the choice of Easy, Medium, or Difficult. These choices seem pretty clear, however this actually based on the length of quest and how much you have to do to complete the quest. I had originally thought that this would judge how strong the demons you ran into would be and that it would be impossible for a new player, which I was at the time, to do a Medium or Difficult quest. This is not the case, the Demons you run into on any of these quest is a copy of a player close to you in booty score. Your Booty is based on the amount of blood or meat, gold, you get in a Manhunt or Demon Hunt as well as the amount of gold you get paid for completing quest. It does NOT include the amount of gold you, or the copy of the player who is your opponent, has captured in fighting other players of the opposite race though. So if you encounter an opponent ridiculously stronger than you during a quest, it is most likely because of the amount of gold they have captured from fighting the opposite race or from them buying Hellstones and cashing them in for shadowlord time, see the Voodoo Shop for more information on Hellstones and shadowlord time and to get your own.
Everything you are asked to explore during quest is in the city, as well as everyone you are asked to talk to, and all quest end in the city. Most are entitled as the name of the location in the city you need to go except Chronicler of the Underworld and Puffer.
Chronicler of the Underworld is the name the game gives for the guy at the Library, during quest.

Puffer is the name the game give for the person who runs the Market Place, during quest.

Also, anytime you are asked to Destroy A Demon you must go to the Grotto and do a Demon Hunt. Any length of Demon Hunt will work but you must win or draw to complete the mission. The Grotto will not tell you whether or not you won and can collect your reward, unless the mission ends at the Grotto. You must check your messages, to see if you won or battled to a draw in your fight or you can go to the location that the quest ends at and if you won or battled to a draw, it will offer you to continue or finish your quest to collect your reward.
Most of the time when you hit continue it will then give you further instructions on where to go or what to do, but not always, and sometimes you must return to the Tavern for your next step. Also if you ever get confused or forget where your quest ends you can go to the Tavern and it will tell you where to go to for your next step.
After you complete a quest there is a cooldown time between being able to accept another one, this varies on the level of the quest you've done. The wait time between quests is as follows:
Easy- 2 hours
Medium- 4 hours
Hard- 6 hours
You can skip this cooldown time though for the cost of 1 Hellstone.
Well, I hope this helps you all to better understand quest and answers any questions you may have about them. If I forgot anything or you have any further questions you may ask for help here on the board and myself or another experienced player or a mod will try to help you the best we can. Good luck and Happy Hunting.
